Eric’s relationship with Claudine antedated his romance with Toni
Actor Eric Fructuoso confirmed in an interview that he had a romantic affair with Toni Gonzaga and Claudine Barretto in the past.

Eric and other members of the all-male boy group Gwapings, Mark Anthony Fernandez and Jao Mapa, appeared as guests for GMA-7’s lifestyle show “Sarap, Di Ba?” on Saturday, November 11.
During the segment “Kwento o Kahon,” the three of them were given an option of either answering a controversial question or going for a dare. Should they go for a dare and fail to finish it, they have to answer the controversial question, regardless.
Eric has then chosen to do the hot seat question.
The program host Carmina Villaroel shocked Eric by asking whether or not he dated Toni in the past.
A surprised Eric then says, “Parang ‘di ko in-expect yun, ah. Oo, meron.”
Carmina then goes for another confirmation, to which Eric shortly replies with, “Yes.”
Following such, Carmina has pressed yet another question of who came first to Eric’s life–Toni or Claudine?
For this, Eric confirmed that, “Nauna si Claudine, and then si Toni,” but according to him, his romantic relationship with Toni lasted for over “three years, almost two years.”
A short banter quickly followed, whereas Carmina asked what could be the reason why Eric was dumped by her exes in the past.
“Nagigising sila sa katotohanan,” a smiling Eric quips.
Carmina has asked how many women Eric has dated before, to which he jokingly responds, “Hindi ko naman sinasagot lahat.”

Eric was one of the members of the ‘90s boy band Gwapings. Some of his television appearances include ABS-CBN’s “Apoy Sa Dagat” (2013) and “Kadenang Ginto (2018)”
He parted ways with his non-showbiz wife, Gian, whom he has four kids with. They were together for 16 years before news of their split made headlines in 2021.
In 2021, Eric announced his proud transition as a grandfather to his eventual grandson Leo—his first-born Frederick’s son.
