The rap god is back at it with a fierce collaboration.
Gloc-9 recently dropped “Kumpisal,” a collaboration with Ex-Battalion’s Skusta Clee. It’s the third single from the former’s Pilak album, which he released to mark his 25th year in the industry.
Backed by a heavy beat and Latin guitar riffs, the rap stars dive headfirst into a taboo topic. Gloc-9 composed and wrote the whole thing. Skusta Clee lent his vocals to it. Thyro Alfaro did the mixing and mastering. Together, they came up with a track that’s sure to dominate the airwaves.
Both rappers open up
The song itself is a revelation. Some are saying that it’s an indirect apology from Skusta Clee to Zeinab Harake. They recently broke up over rumors that the rapper cheated on her again.
Gloc-9 also opens up in the song. He raps about wanting to speak up about the injustices he’s been seeing on the daily. “Kumpisal” touches on grand larceny, which may be a reference to certain individuals.

This marks his first time rapping about religion and spirituality. Meanwhile, Skusta Clee has always wanted to create a song about and for God. Both their dreams came true when they dropped “Kumpisal.”
This song is generating controversy as it picks up steam on social media. The music video will definitely add more fuel to that fire, as some scenes take place in and around a church. Kirby Balagtas of YouMeUs MNL helmed the music video. It features cameos by other local hip-hop stars, such as DJ Klumcee, Hellmerry, and Shanti Dope.

“Kumpisal” is not their first collaboration. Gloc-9 contributed a few lines to Skusta Clee’s “Karma”, which dropped in 2021.
Gloc-9 has already released 2 songs this year. Last February, he unveiled the Yeng Constantino collab “Paliwanag”. It was his first release under Universal Records Philippines.
A month later, he returned with “Pilak”, the title track of his upcoming album.
