Heart is ushered by her mother Cecile down the aisle
In celebration of their 9th wedding anniversary, Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero renewed their vows on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Balesin Island Club’s Royal Villa.
The venue has marked the second wedding of the couple as it is the same place where Heart and Chiz first got married in 2015.
The 39-year-old fashion icon has shared on Instagram some of the snippets from the wedding, which was intimately attended by their family and close friends.
Captioned with “Happy #chizheartchaptertwo,” the video shows some of the couple’s dearest moments, including the actual wedding held by the beachfront.
Heart is seen wearing a custom-made Ellie Saab champagne gown. It is tailored with a veil—according to a report from Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, it is a personal request of the actress.
Chiz, on the other hand, is dashingly sharp, as he dons a white suit, complementary to Heart’s beige palette.

On top of the recently concluded wedding, Heart has also been receptive to opening new milestones, such as entering motherhood.
In an interview with Boy Abunda during the GCash Spotlight Event on February 7, 2024 at Shooting Gallery Studios, it was revealed that Heart has been hopeful about welcoming a child.
“I feel like if there’s any moment that I should be blessed with a baby, it should be now because I feel like I’m ready as a person and I would be able to give more,” she says.

Heart Evangelista gets support from mother Cecile Ongpauco
It may be true that a lot can happen in years, and one of the manifestations of that is the change of heart that Cecile Ongpauco—Heart’s mother—displayed for her daughter.
It is no secret that Heart married Chiz without the presence of her parents—Cecile and Rey Ongpauco—in 2015.
At the time, their absence has pointed to a larger disapproval they have over Heart and Chiz’s relationship, hence Heart walked the aisle without them. More so, Heart’s parents have aired several allegations against Chiz.
However, nine years later, all seems mended between Heart and her parents, as she was escorted by her mom during their second wedding.
As seen in posts of Albert Kurniawan and Michael Leyva, Heart and Cecile teared up as they shared the touching moment. They also embraced each other.
However, her dad, Rey, is still absent as he is still being medically treated in the United States.
