Ice Seguerra To Serve As Opening Act For Alanis Morissette’s Philippine Concerts

Alanis Morissette will finally perform in Manila after her concerts were postponed three times due to COVID-19

Ice Seguerra is set to open for Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette during her concert in Manila on August 1 and 2, 2023.

Alanis is performing at the SM Mall of Asia Arena to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her iconic album “Jagged Little Pill.”

On Instagram, Ice expressed excitement over his participation, saying he’s “kilig.”

“I grew up listening to her music,” said the Filipino singer-songwriter. “This album was my companion mula umaga hanggang gabi!

“I hope to see you all on Aug 1 and 2 at the MOA Arena! Let’s all celebrate the one and only, Alanis Morissette!!!!” he added.

Ice, who was previously known as Aiza Seguerra, started as a child actor who ventured into music in 2001. His single “Pagdating ng Panahon” became a major hit and he is also known for the classic OPM hit “Pakisabi Na Lang.”

Meanwhile, Alanis’s Manila shows are finally happening after being postponed three times because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They were originally scheduled for two nights in April 2020, and were then moved to December 2021 and November 2022 before being cancelled.

The album “Jagged Little Pill” is best known for its hit songs “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.” It also won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
