GMA-7 invited some Kapamilya personalities over!
The most awaited Kapuso gathering, GMA Gala 2023, arrives in full glory as established celebrities, rising names, hitmakers, power couples among many others—including personalities from ABS-CBN, convene in a night filled with promises of “glitz, glamor, and goodwill.”
One of the anticipated highlights is the red carpet wherein figures, including ABS-CBN big stars, get to walk in their own style and number.
“It’s Showtime” hosts
Gracing the red carpet one by one are the program mainstays, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, and Vice Ganda. Their invitation and succeeding appearance follows the recent transfer of the program to GMA-7’s free-to-air channel, GTV.
“Sample King” Jhong Hilario showed up in a silver-blue ensemble by Jaggy Glarino. Vhong, on the other hand, went for the classic look with his white tuxedo embellished with tulle.
“The Unkabogable Star” Vice Ganda wears a blonde updo, as he commands the red carpet in his silver-encrusted number and a feathered white trailing coat.
Meanwhile, Anne Curtis appears champagne-finish in a white Yves Saint Laurent dress, with accessories from Tiffany & Co.

“Unbreak My Heart” cast
Other personalities who have walked the red carpet are some cast members of ABS-CBN and GMA-7’s collaboration series, “Unbreak My Heart.”
Richard Yap, who stars as Matteo Zhang, walked with his daughter, Ashley Yap who both grace the interview in a matching ensemble made by designer Neric Beltran.
Richard was once a Kapamilya until he transferred to GMA-7 in 2020. “Unbreak My Heart” marks his reunion with his ABS-CBN colleagues, particularly with his former on-screen partner, Jodi Sta. Maria.
The 56-year-old star shares that he looks forward to seeing everyone tonight and have fun—which might not be hard for his case, as his daughter labels him as a “cool dad.”
Star Magic actor Joshua Garcia has also attended the said event, in which he dons a classic black-and-white number.
ABS-CBN executives and other personalities
While the public basked in a star-studded event, the red carpet was also dignified by the Kapamilya big bosses: ABS-CBN President Carlo Katigbak and Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes who walked together in a matching black ensemble.
Former ABS-CBN public affairs veteran Ces Drilon is also invited, appearing classy in her golden yellow ensemble. Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz appeared together with his two assistants.
GMA Gala Night 2023 is a fundraising event, which aims to support various charitable organization. it was held at Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
