“Si Barbie Forteza. Hindi ko siya malilimutan,” Ivana reveals
Ivana Alawi has some juicy revelations about her distasteful encounters with some of GMA-7 and ABS-CBN’s celebrities. This, she shares briefly in a vlog uploaded on Tuesday, July 18.
In her YouTube channel, the 26-year-old internet celebrity has looked back on some of her unpleasant experiences with undisclosed artists, while also reminiscing about Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza’s kind and welcoming demeanor towards her.
When asked who could be the nicest GMA artist that she got to work with, she only had Barbie Forteza in mind. “Nicest? Ah, si Barbie Forteza. Hindi ko siya malilimutan,” Ivana begins.
She then explains how a number of GMA-7 celebrities were ill-mannered at most when she was still starting in the industry.
“Madaming maldita sa akin nung nag-i-start ako sa GMA, as in maraming masusungit. Alam mo yun,” pointing at her mother who agrees by saying, “Siyempre, ganun talaga.”
“Ayaw tayong bigyan ng puwesto. Ayaw din kaming bigyan ng pagkain. Sinusungitan kami nung mag-ina,” she continues.
After a cursory explanation, she then goes back to Barbie, who, she says, has been ingrained in her mind since.
“And then, ang pinaka naging mabait sa akin na hindi ko malilimutan, hindi ko pa siya nakakausap after, pero si Barbie Forteza. Kasi siya ay sobrang bait. Totoo talaga siya, kaya super blessed niya, because she really has a good heart,” she shares.
The “Maria Clara at Ibarra” star was then quick to offer Ivana the same recognition, as she tweets: “Grabe naman to. Maraming salamat, @IvanaAlawi. So Happy for all your success. Ingat kayo ni Mona. Hi po tita!”
Barbie and Ivana first worked in a GMA-7’s youth-oriented show “Reel Love Presents Tween Hearts,” which ran from 2010 to 2012.
Ivana shares experience with some Kapamilya celebrities
Just as much, it seems as if Ivana has also had a fair share of rude encounters with celebrities from the Kapamilya network.
She answers “meron” quickly when asked if ever there was a time she saw herself in a feud with other celebrities.
“Merong umaway sa akin pero never akong nakipag-away sa kanila. Hindi ko pinapatulan,” she adds.
Ivana follows it up with: “Meron rin sa recent show namin pero, alam mo yon, I will not stoop down to your level,” fanning in speculations that the artist in question might be from the Kapamilya network where Ivana currently appears as a contract artist.
The most recent show that Ivana did was “A Family Affair,” which aired in 2022.
Back in 2021, Ivana left things with little filter after her revelation that a noontime show from ABS-CBN had also put her in the receiving end of embarrassment.
Ivana Alawi has been a Kapamilya for three years already, having to sign her first-ever ABS-CBN contract in February of 2021. She renewed her contract on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, as she teases about her upcoming series and movies with the home network.
