16 years later, Janina still does not “feel any pressure right now!”
Former beauty queen Janina San Miguel has relived her pageant life as she reenacts her viral “I don’t feel any pressure right now” answer in a drag club in Quezon City.
Only 17 years old when she joined Binibining Pilipinas 2008, Janina’s answer had become a famous local pop culture and LGBTQIA+ reference to date due to her relatively disorganized answer during the pageant proper about the importance of her family.
Starting her answer with the now-iconic line “I don’t feel any pressure right now” showing her confidence, Janina lost her composure when she mispronounced “they” to “there” and tried correcting herself.
As she was trying to recover from the blunder, Janina explained herself saying that the stint was her “first pageant ever.”
Despite a muddled answer, Janina still saw herself winning the second-highest crown, Binibining Pilipinas World. From there, the viral question-and-answer portion has long been reshared and humored by netizens across the internet.

Janina still does not feel the pressure!
Now 33, Janina has once again stepped on a stage, this time at the RAMPA Drag Club in Quezon City, to relive her iconic question-and-answer portion with some renowned drag queens.
In the presence of PH Drag Race Season 1 winner Precious Paula Nicole, alumnae Vinas Deluxe, and Marina Summers, and other drag artists, Janina was greeted by the host with, “Good evening.”
Janina responds with, “Good evening!” in an accent very much similar to how she said the line back then.
Precious has then taken the microphone from the host to ask, “Do you feel any pressure right now?” to which Janina replies with a resounding, all-too-familiar line, “No, I don’t feel any pressure right now!”
After that, Janina was then urged to show her pasarela skills, which she did so while the crowd and the drag queens cheered for her.

Who is Janina San Miguel?
Shortly after winning the crown, Janina relinquished the title back for personal reasons. Later on, an investigative show Undercover Asia revealed that Janina has been receiving indecent proposals since and has been implemented with strict standards by organizers.
As for the show, Janina has been pursuing personal growth in the business process outsourcing industry as a call center agent.
In 2023, Janina returned to the pageant scene as a contestant of Mrs. Face of Tourism Philippines. However, she withdrew her application over an alleged misunderstanding with director Marky Delos Santos. This claim, however, was not validated by Janina or Marky’s camp.
