Singer Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner are reportedly headed for divorce after four years of marriage. Several US entertainment outlets confirmed the news.
TMZ initially broke the news on September 3, revealing that Joe had allegedly contacted two divorce lawyers based in Los Angeles. PEOPLE also received confirmation from a source about Joe Jonas seeking legal representation for a divorce.
TMZ’s sources, described as having “direct knowledge,” suggested that the couple had been facing “serious problems for at least six months.”

A TMZ source indicated that Joe had been taking care of their two children “pretty much all of the time,” even while he was in the midst of a concert tour.
While representatives for Joe have not yet responded to requests for comment, Sophie’s team declined to comment on the rumors.
According to TMZ, “On the surface, it seems there’s been no outward signs of trouble. Joe and Sophie have attended events together. However, in recent weeks … Joe has been seen not wearing his ring.”
Sophie was in attendance at one of the Jonas Brothers’ concerts in early August, and her Instagram post from August 15 featured a photo of her with her husband.
After a year of dating, Joe and Sophie got engaged in October 2017. They exchanged vows in a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony in May 2019, followed by a larger wedding celebration in France in June of the same year.

The couple welcomed their daughter named Willa in July 2020, and Sophie gave birth to their second child in July 2022.
