Netizens wish Maine Mendoza and Kathryn Bernardo to be in one dream collaboration!
Actress Maja Salvador’s wedding with businessman Rambo Nuñez in Bali, Indonesia on Monday, July 31, has bred rare photos of celebrity guests bonding at the ceremony— one of which is newly wed Maine Mendoza together with Star Magic’s A-List star, Kathryn Bernardo.
Various showbiz personalities attended the out-of-the-country ceremony, and the culmination of such has blessed the netizens a golden photo of Maine shoulder to shoulder with Kathryn.
The photo was originally uploaded by Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean Lastimosa. It was retweeted and cropped by a fan account who wishes to have a dream collaboration between this generation’s highly revered leading ladies.
The tweet comes with a caption that reads: “PROJECT PLEASE,” with Kathryn and Maine’s official X (formerly Twitter) accounts respectively tagged.
Some users could not help but express their admiration, as they take to Twitter their praises for the two showbiz personalities.
Even on Instagram, followers were quick to recognize the rarity of the photo, as some users left a comment of recognition for the two.
Prior to this, Kathryn was seen days earlier with leading man Daniel Padilla, as they both attended Maine’s wedding with politician-actor Arjo Atayde on Friday, July 28, in Baguio City.

Kathryn and Maine are both recognized as showbiz royalties, rivals even, that some see them as two different showbiz forces coming from two prominent loveteams: Maine and Alden Richards’ defunct AlDub against Kathryn and Daniel’s KathNiel.
With an acting reputation established with partner Daniel, Kathryn sits now as one of the pillars of Star Magic. The chemistry they hold has led them to create various laudable films and projects, including “She’s Dating A Gangster” in 2014, “Barcelona: A Love Untold” in 2016, and “The Hows Of Us” in 2018.
Kathryn has also proven her acting chops without a love team when she and Maine’s love-team partner, Alden Richards, headlined “Hello, Love, Goodbye” in 2019. The film still holds the record for the highest grossing movie of all time in the Philippines.
Maine, on the other hand, had her breakthrough after being paired with Alden for the “Juan For All, All For Juan” segment of the old “Eat Bulaga,” which eventually became its own segment, “Kalyeserye.”
The surprise tandem gained a massive fan traction, as indicated by thousands of AlDub fans who flocked the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena in Bulacan for the love team’s “Tamang Panahon” concert in 2015.
The love team reached various heights during the course of its run. However, in 2018, their respective managements decided to give them solo projects, with Alden headlining his own Kapuso show “Victor Magtanggol” and Maine being part of the 2018 movie “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles.”
It was on the set of that movie that Maine met her now-husband, Arjo Atayde.
