Kathryn gets a big bouquet of roses from Alden!
Kathryn Bernardo got a surprise gift and a bouquet of lush red roses from her “Hello, Love, Goodbye” leading man Alden Richards during her post-birthday celebration.
The Kapamilya A-list celebrity who turned 28 last March 26, 2024 had another round of birthday party–this time, organized by her stylists, Boop Yap and Kim Yap.
In yet another gathering attended by friends, Kathryn’s dinner took a rare turn after Alden arrived with a bouquet of red roses in hand and a gift from the French luxury brand Baccarat.
As seen in a video uploaded by Boop, a stunned Kathryn shyly stands up from her seat to welcome Alden with a quick hug.

In a separate video uploaded by creative director Earl Semitara, the “Hello, Love, Goodbye” leads were taking selfies by the bar. It was then followed by a photo taken by a friend, to which they both posed shoulder to shoulder.

Kathryn and Alden’s closeness is very evident—especially during Kathryn’s birthday party in El Nido, Palawan wherein the actor serenaded the birthday girl with his rendition of “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang.”

Singing alongside Kakai Bautista, Alden confessed shortly after the chorus that it is something that he does not usually do—but for Kathryn, he did.
Kathryn’s 28th birthday party was attended by some of her closest friends, such as Dominic Roque, Jericho Rosales, Joshua Garcia and girlfriend Emilienne Vigier, and Robi Domingo and wife Maiqui Pineda.

Is a “Hello, Love, Goodbye” sequel happening?
2019 marks a blockbuster breakthrough for both Kathryn and Alden, following a well-received performance of their film “Hello, Love, Goodbye” in Philippine cinemas.
Five years later, the prospect of a sequel lingers—with Alden expressing his eagerness to do a sophomore installation with Kathryn.
In a December 2023 interview with select members of the press at Stardust Bar in Makati, he says that he is willing to cancel all of his schedule to give way for the anticipated production.
Alden says, “Ako po, ready naman ako any time and yun din naman ang sinabi ko kay Direk Cathy [Garcia-Sampana]. Sabi ko ‘Direk, kapag gumawa kayo ng part 2, ikaka-cancel ko muna lahat ng schedule ko.”
“But then again, that’s really up to Star Cinema kasi sila naman yung producer and they own the rights of the movie.”
