KD: “I cannot allow this ‘fandom’ who claims to ‘support’ me bash the family and person I love”
KD Estrada has outrightly disengaged from a certain “fandom” and from being involved with “the other person” of his previous love team.
Taking his sentiments to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, January 9, 2024, the Star Magic artist has uploaded a statement in an outright detachment of himself from a particular fanbase and from an on-screen partner he was shipped with in the past.

Captioned with, “Read it,” the screenshot he uploaded talks about how this fandom bullied his now on-screen partner Alexa Ilacad.
It reads, “I don’t want to be associated with this fandom and the other person of this ship no longer.
“I have kept these feelings in for 2 years but some of you have already crossed the line. Your team CONSTANTLY bashes Alexa who I genuinely care about, which to some of you can’t seem to wrap your head around.
“I have let [your] hate and criticism towards me slide, I take that. But I cannot allow this ‘fandom’ who claims to ‘support’ me bash the family and person I love.
Starting off his career in ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10,” the young actor mentions that, “And if you’re all asking for an explanation as to why I changed after PBB? I don’t owe any of you that. But if you want a simple explanation, it’s because I grew up.”
In the end, KD made a bold statement and wavered anyone who can read the post to send it to whom it is due. He says, “I am giving you the consent to send or even POST this to all the remaining Ky*i.”

Taking KD’s words for it, the statement directly addresses Anji Salvacion, whom he was partnered with during their time in PBB. Together, they were known as Kyji.

In an interview with ABS-CBN in December 2023, both KD and Alexa shared that they are looking forward to building their relationship deeper with each other.

For Alexa, her ultimate goal is to turn their partnership into something more meaningful. As she puts it, “I know of love teams na nagkatuluyan, nag pamilya. Marian and Dingdong, number one in my mind. Ako, siyempre, ‘yun ang goal sana.
While acknowledging the privilege of being in a love team, Alexa then says that doing personal projects may also do one’s career good. After all, “they don’t necessarily need to break up or end, but we can pursue other things.”
The same thing is true for KD, who seconds the thought with, “Maybe in a few months, we can do projects together, then solo. It is for the growth of partnership.”
