“Mutual decision to end things and to move on with our lives,” says Kim
Kim Chiu admits that her heart is a “little empty” right now.
She opens up about her current emotional state in an interview with Dr. Vicki Belo’s YouTube channel on March 16.
Kim tells Vicki, “I’m okay. I’m doing good, busy with work. Ang puso, it’s a little empty pero okay naman. It’s part of life and part of growing up.”
Although they did not mention the name of Kim’s ex-boyfriend, Xian Lim, pictures of the former couple were displayed during their conversation the recent breakup.
When Vicki asked about the specifics of the end of the relationship, Kim did not delve into details, simply saying, “Wala naman. Baka magalit siya.”
She then continued, “Ano lang naman talaga, it’s a common understanding namin. Mutual decision to end things and to move on with our lives.”
Vicki then asked Kim if there was a time she asked Xian: “Saan ba pupunta itong relationship natin?”
Kim admitted, “Hindi talaga. Hindi ako nagtatanong, pero iniisip ko.
“It’s also one of the reasons, of the many reasons. Hindi naman siya big factor, pero siyempre, as we grow old, siyempre, iisipin mo na rin ‘yon.”

Despite the challenges, Kim remains optimistic about her future romance. She expressed, “I want to give love so that someday, someone will give me his unconditional love.”
Kim mentioned that she hasn’t experienced such unconditional love from a partner yet, even after her past two long-term relationships.
Kim and Xian officially announced their breakup to the public on December 23, 2023.
