Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have ended their relationship after 12 years
Kim Chiu and Xian Lim are confirmed to have broken up after 12 years of being together.
This is based on an Instagram post by Kim earlier today, December 23.
Kim posted a carousel of black-and-white photos of her and Xian and their moments together.
The start of Kim’s caption immediately confirms that they have decided to part ways as she says, “End of a love story.”
Kim also knows that it has been a while since she said a word about the breakup that has been talked about in showbiz circles.
Talking to the KimXi fans, she writes, “We owe our supporters the truth, but we also respect each other’s time of healing. In a relationship, love is always a significant factor, but sometimes love is not enough.”
According to Kim, it was a mutual decision for Kim and Xian to “transition our relationship into what we hope to be a lifelong friendship.”
She says, “We shared more than a decade of love, each other’s support system, and many beautiful memories. It was our mutual decision to transition our relationship into what we hope to be a lifelong friendship.
“We thank all our followers for their love and support, but now we ask you to appreciate our honesty and give us the privacy we need as we begin new chapters of our lives. To all our supporters, maraming salamat for all the love and understanding.”
Finally, Kim thanks Xian for the beautiful 12 years they had.
“Lastly, to Xi, Thank you for the almost 12 years of beautiful memories together one can never imagine. You will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for showing me what love is.
“As we close this chapter of our lives, I ask for everyone’s kindness and respect. I hope this clears everything as we all move forward with our lives.”

It was in 2011 when Kim and Xian first became a love team through the primetime series “My Binondo Girl.” They earned a following that fans coined their tandem as KimXi.
In 2012, Xian admitted to courting Kim, and in 2013, they confirmed their exclusive status as a couple.
KimXi fans would then enjoy watching their travels together through their vlogs.
In the middle of the year, the rumor about Kim and Xian breaking up made rounds on social media. The rumor was intensified when Kim would be involved in jokes about relationship problems while she hosts “It’s Showtime” with Vice Ganda.

A few weeks later, Xian deleted all his vlogs on his YouTube channel, further intensifying the breakup rumor.
