Meet The Artists Of Merlion Entertainment

Merlion Entertainment artists include beauty queens, creatives, musicians, and a chef!

In an attempt to realize one of its visions of consistently bringing something new, talent management agency Merlion Entertainment has introduced a new roster of talents under its ever-growing name. 

Backed by hopes of turning dreams into reality, the agency has expanded a new era of limelight through new faces—influencers, creatives, beauty queens, diverse acts, and promising young talents—who are all set to dominate the entertainment industry. 

These new talents were introduced to the members of the media and advertisers at a trade event held in October 2023.

Ready to take on the spotlight, here are some of the names to watch for:

Carren Eistrup

Carren managed to find her biggest breakthrough in 2023 when she was hailed as the newest “BIDA Next” winner. Such a feat prompted Carren’s career to land a hosting gig in “E.A.T.”

Prior to her “Bida Next” stint, Carren joined shows such as “Little Big Shots,” “ToppSarap Topss Star Season 3,” “Centerstage,” ABS-CBN’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” and GMA-7’s “Hype Kang Batang Ka,” where she first showcased her love for music. 

Caitlyn Stave 

While the American life is something to be desired, much, dreamed of, Caitlyn feels that going back to the Philippines is just as good as it is fulfilling. 

Previously living in the United States, Caitlyn then went home and had an opportunity presented on her doorsteps. On top of her previous projects “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms,” she is taking sweet steps to build her career as part of GMA-7’s “All-Out Sundays.

Anne 

Anne fits the multi-hyphenate gang rightly, and this claim is true for a few good reasons. 

Aside from being pageant titleholder in Navotas, her feat in ABS-CBN’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime” has led to so many opportunities and doors—ultimately making her a recording artist. 

Currently, her discography is backed by two hit singles, “Pinapangarap Mo” and “Bebe Ko,” both of which have landed at the no. 2 spot on GMA-7’s LSFM radio charts. 

More than being a singer, Anne has also shown a penchant for acting and hosting—proven and tested in her multiple appearances in some Regal Entertainment films and hosting gigs in ”Showtime Online U.” 

Olive 

Dubbed as the “social-media” maven, Olive captivates her huge online following with charm and quick wit. 

More than having a bubbly personality as seen in her guesting in “Umagang Kay Ganda,” Olive also holds a promise for acting. This cannot be truer now that she currently has a supporting actress title under her belt. 

Aside from this merit for her portrayal in GTV’s sitcom “TOLS,” she is lauded mostly for being a pageant household name. 

Coming from a victorious finish in the 2019 Miss Teen Philippines Central Visayas, Olive then pursued a more challenging stake—Miss Teen Philippines. More than that, she also landed as one of the finalists in Miss Cebu 2023.  

Denise 

Grooving her way into the spotlight is Denise who is heavily backed by an “extensive” dancing portfolio. 

Denise started as a scholar at the Dance Avenue Studio then expanded her training under the Outside Dance Group, Class E. With perseverance and learnings from these institutions, Denise was able to land 6th place at the Open Division in Revolution International Dance Championship in Melbourne, Australia. 

Elle 

Another pageant queen and dancer comes in the flesh of Elle—a promising young name that holds a bunch of projects lined up for her already. 

What sets Elle from the rest is her humorous remarks that outrightly fits in the realm of comedy. But more than that, she can switch it too fast for some good dramatic role impersonations. 

With her talent, charm, and  Asian vixen look, Elle will surely be among the stars that will leave dent one way or another in the entertainment scene. 

Dain

Just one of the creatives making a mark for herself is Dain—a name honed by so many experiences in modeling and arts. 

On top of  leisurely doing special-effects makeup, Dain also burns her time being an ambassadress of several local brands, participating in beauty pageants, listening to pop and indie rock, and learning other languages. 

With so many interests on her plate, it is not surprising that this young lady is making waves as early as now. Who knows what impactful she may have in the future?

Luna 

Luna started humbly—she was first a contestant in “The Voice Kids” and “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.” 

Despite being a newbie in the scene, Luna’s voice got everyone on a chokehold over her ability to convey a message. Lauded for “depth” and “maturity,” this rising star now takes her singing with soulful renditions and raw emotions. 

Now that Luna extends her interest into songwriting, her exceptional talent will surely take the centerstage with grace and lasting impact. 

Tera 

Tera is just one of Merlion’s rare gems who can do multiple things at the same time. Considered as a “triple-threat artist,” Tera knows how to do music and jive all at once. 

More than that, Tera is just one of the few creatives who know how to relay deep messages through her songs. This is especially true when she released her single “Higher Dosage,” an alternative pop song that tackles alcohol and illegal substances. 

Nicole Guzman 

There are those who were shoved into the limelight one good day, and there are those that worked hard for it since they were young. Nicole belongs to the latter who nurtured her passion for acting, singing, and songwriting at a tender age. 

To date, Nicole’s portfolio is loaded with experience in “Umagang Kay Ganda” and more notably, theater plays including “King and I” and “Cinderella.”

But when she’s not busy with her career, she loves to go on a quiet and take the world through her camera lens. 

Monique Vasquez

Another newcomer to the entertainment scene is Monique, who is known for her passion for creativity and performance.

Despite being a new face, Monique has somehow established her name in the world of commercials. Some of her collaborations include renowned brands such as Del Monte, Safeguard, Globe, SM Prime, and KFC. 

With her unique charisma and penchant for arts, Monique consistently catches the attention of advertisers, putting her at the forefront of the advertising world. 

Bella Thompson 

Bella’s entertainment calling came all naturally from her interests when she was still young. Always compelled to arts and beauty, penetrating the entertainment industry has always been easy for her. 

Not only does she carry this with pride, she also knows how to prove her acting abilities. Such a claim is true with a number of television and film projects she made in the past. This includes “After All,” “Ang Kwento Ni Makoy,” “Wish Ko Lang: Tanan Episode,” “Mano Po: Season 3,” and “Underage.”

Beatrice Santos 

Forms and figures make up most of Bea’s interest. In doing so, she draws closer to being a model. On top of her laudable social media campaigns, this dark-skinned beauty has also penetrated Bench Fashion Week and Philippine Fashion Revolution. 

While she is away from modeling, she spends her time joining beauty pageants—her recent feat being the titleholder of Miss Makati in 2019. It is safe to say that this victory has opened many doors for Bea, as she was invited to multiple television shows, such as “Wish Ko Lang” and “Artikulo 247.” 

Truly, Beatrice’s beauty cannot be denied its rights from both modeling and pageantry. So much so, it cannot be dismissed out of its potential in the entertainment industry. 

Nicole Borromeo 

Cebu-grown Nicole has already established her name in the pageant world as a force to be reckoned with. 

In 2019, she bagged a seemingly impossible feat after consecutively winning Miss Millennial Philippines, Reyna Ng Aliwan, Sinulog Festival Queen, and a podium-finish in Miss Teen Philippines. 

Four years later, she clinched the Miss International crown—the highest title at stake at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant. With this merit, she was able to represent the Philippines in the Japan-based Miss International, wherein she was crowned as second runner-up. 

Outside pageantry, Nicole gravitates towards the arts. As an Interior Design student, she spends most of her time refurbishing furniture, engaging in DIY projects, and doing photography. 

More than that, Nicole’s personality oozes with a cheeky aura that captivates a huge following on TikTok. And she even utilizes the platform for good, as she consistently shares makeup and exercise tips that always magnetize the viewers. 

Kayelah Gomez 

Visuals never falter when it comes to Kayelah’s beauty. Such is true as this “rising talent” has made it center and beyond different social media and print advertisements. It includes campaigns with BarenBliss, Globe, Ever Bilena, and other renowned brands. 

More than being a pretty face, Kayelah brings a new twist to charisma, as she penetrates showbiz with her “innate talent.” With her mindset focused on building an acting reputation, Kayelah is envisioned to go far and beyond her artistic pursuits. 

Alyson Chan

Alison has a striking face,  undeniable talents, and a dream—just some of the markings usually carried by the brightest stars. 

Just like the good few, Alyson has discovered her interest at a relatively young age. Growing up, she gravitated towards acting and modeling, which then ushered her into having various social media advertisements. 

In her spare time, Alyson also captures the beauty of now through her camera lens. Be it scenic views or concrete urban landscapes, Alyson seems to know what angles best bring vibrancy and colors. This, paired with her acting dreams, is enough of a drive to propel her forward and upward to stardom. 

Miguel David

Aside from his dashing aura, which is hard to resist, Miguel knows just another way to everyone’s hearts—and yes, you guessed it right, through food! 

Miguel is a seasoned chef,which means his knowledge and experience in crafting gastronomic delights encompass both local and international flavors .Beyond the typical aim of satisfying the taste buds, his “unique” ability to create dishes is an experience both warm and delightful. 

Jimsen Jison 

Quick backstory: Jimsen learned his love for music back when he was still young—when he would constantly perform the Philippine national anthem at his former schools. 

This has been his guide and stronghold as he ventured into the music industry. Little by little, he is able to establish a name for himself by being a participant in various television shows, such as “Pinoy Boyband Superstar,” “Idol Philippines,” and “Bida Next” on “Eat Bulaga.” 

Jean Drilon 

Jean knew for a fact that her path leads to entertainment. Growing up, she was heavily gravitated towards the arts, which then prompted her to pursue a career in singing, dancing, acting, and modeling. 

Just one of her impressive victories was when she participated in GMA-7’s “The Clash,” wherein she sang her lungs and soul to the top of the competition. Just as it was prophesied by Merlion, “Jean is poised to shine brightly in the entertainment world and leave a lasting impression on audiences.” 

Dana Alexa 

Dana has grown too comfortable within the advertising landscape. With her dream of becoming something more,  it occurred to her that growth is found outside the comfort zone. Thus, she pursued showbiz. 

Now that she is getting a good grip of what limelight feels like, Dana is set to strike and captivate into becoming a good asset for brands. While doing so, she is also expected to breathe life into a wide array of characters.

Angelgrace America 

Taxing it might be for some to pursue showbiz, Angelgrace, on the other hand, feels otherwise. In fact, she seems to have known her footing all along, as evidently seen in her outstanding performance in “My Freaky Love Story.” 

Before that, Angelgrace has been collecting gem experiences, some of which includes her bit roles in various series such as “La Luna Sangre,” “Mulawin,” and “Ngayon at Kailanman. 

With her quick emergence to the limelight, it will only take a few steps forward and back before avid fans see her among the brightest stars.

Laiza Comia 

Laiza knows where she belongs, and that is in the world of acting. This truth is honed by exceptional experiences in different television series, such as “Ipaglaban Mo,” “On The Wings Of Love,” and “Maalaala mo Kaya.” 

On top of that, she established her name as one of the rising stars through various local films: “White House” and “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang.” These credits are just the cherry on top of her reputable background weaved by several local commercials. 

Nikki Comia 

Nikki is not the type to sit and wait for an opportunity to present itself. She knows that all good things are reaped with hard work, and that is exactly what she is doing. 

Blessed with both beauty and talent, Nikki still thinks of improving herself through various acting and modeling workshops—as all dreamers do, And with every sweat shed from this, Nikki dreams of becoming one of this generation’s highly revered actresses. 

Kate Yalung 

It’s obvious why the “multifaceted” Kate caught the attention of the entertainment industry. Except for her talent in acting, Kate obviously is a gem for being able to sing, model, and design all together. 

Even without exerting too much effort, Kate seamlessly executes all roles given to her. This is especially true for her portrayal of Kim in the Boys’ Love series “My Day,” directed by Xion Lim. 

Her performance is equally stellar in other projects, including “Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin,” “Crazy in Love With You,” Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune,” “The Signs,” and “Unloving You.” 

Jessica Dungo 

Jess is a 25-year-old travel and health enthusiast who bonds with her followers on Kumu whenever possible. Simply put, Jess can juggle leisure, work, and fun at the same time—which means, fans would always be fed with daily content and kakulitans. 

With her eyes set heavily on making it big in the entertainment industry, Jess carries with her the ambition of becoming an influential figure in showbiz—no matter what it takes 

Elaine Ochoa 

Elaine sails the scene smoothly. Just a few good roles in “Ang Probinsyano,” “Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars,” and “Dear Other Self” are enough to say that this young star is treading the right path to limelight. 

Now that she’s utilizing her God-given talents to pursue acting, it would not be long until audiences see just another star at the center stage.
