What to Expect From ‘All of Us Are Dead’ Season 2 If Netflix Renews

We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait

The first season of the Netflix series “All of Us Are Dead” just ended, so now we’re eagerly waiting for news of a second season. The series was a runaway hit, and its finale was the cherry on top of a fantastic run.

While the season one finale can be considered the end, some questions remain unanswered. A second season would allow the creative team to wrap up loose plot threads. For instance, it’s unclear if the students who couldn’t escape simply died or became halfbies (half-human, half-zombie hybrids) themselves.

Lee Jae-kyoo, the director of “All of Us Are Dead,” told Korean media outlet Wikitree that he wants to make a second season of the zombie series. He also said he wants to compare the surviving humans with the zombie group.

When asked about the main character Lee Cheong-san’s demise, he explains that they have a definite plan for that storyline, but he currently refuses to divulge any more details. However, he promises to incorporate more plot twists should a second season be greenlit.

Hopefully, Netflix will renew All of Us Are Dead. The series topped the streaming platform’s charts in almost every territory. With such high ratings, the likelihood of a second season is high. Given how “Squid Game” fared last year, South Korean TV shows such as this are in high demand.

Since there has been no formal announcement yet, we still don’t have an expected release date for season two. However, since production for season one took two years, we expect “All of Us Are Dead” season two to hit our screens sometime in 2024.

Based on a South Korean webtoon titled “Now At Our School” by Joo Dong-geun, “All of Us Are Dead” is about a zombie outbreak at Hyosan High School. The story follows a group of students who must fight the zombies that used to be their classmates and teachers to survive.
