Rick Astley Recreates His ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ MV

And here we thought we would be rickrolled again.

We know that some people are sick and tired of “Never Gonna Give You Up.” People have used this Rick Astley hit to troll their family and friends online for years. But you have to admit, it’s a bop! Thanks to an ad for the CSAA Insurance Group, a new version is now available online.

Rick Astley grew up in Lancashire and began playing music after graduating high school. He made headlines when he joined the Stock Aitken Waterman production team. He then released the 1987 album Whenever You Need Somebody, which sold over 15.2 million copies.

Recently, Astley rolled out a new version of his “Never Gonna Give You Up” music video. The video premiered on the California State Automobile Association Insurance Group’s YouTube channel.

You can watch the modern MV for “Never Gonna Give You Up” here:

The English singer-songwriter did the video for a subsidiary of AAA Insurance. It is a US-based company that claims its services will never let customers down. (Get it?) Insurance agents in uniforms took the place of his female backup dancers.

The CSAA’s advertising campaign appears to be appealing to viewers and fans. Over 2 million people have watched the movie in a week. There has also been a flood of positive comments on the YouTube post.

If you ever need to watch the modern MV and compare it with the original, we’ve got you covered! Special thanks to @hungrychad for creating a side-by-side comparison of Astley’s videos.
