The all-Filipino musical will arrive in 2024!
Newport World Resorts’ production outfit Full House Theater Company has already finalized the cast and creative ensemble of the upcoming Parokya ni Edgar: Musical titled “Buruguduystunstugudunstuy.”
According to the announcement published on Wednesday, December 6, the newest all-Filipino musical will banner an all-female lead cast composed of Kyle Napuli, Marynor Madamesila, Tex de Leon, and Natasha Cabrera.
Noel Comia, Pepe Herrera, Jasper Jimenez, and Nicco Manalo have taken their respective spots as supporting cast members.
Aixa Mallary is set to play the female swing in the female ensemble composed of Iya Villanueva, Maronne Cruz, Teetin Villanueva, Miah Canton, Cara Barredo, Liway Perez, Cheska Quimno, Paulina Luzuriaga, Julia Serad, Sarah Facuri, Jillian Ita-as, Chaye Mogg, and Mikaela Regis.
As for the male ensemble, Rofe Villarino claims his spot as the male swing, among other members: Jules Dela Paz, Rapah Manalo, Stephen Viñas, Boo Gabunada, Jep Go, Khalil Tambio, Neo Rivera, Francis Gatmaytan, Mark Anthony Grantos, MC Dela Cruz, Franco Ramos, Red Nuestro, Ralph Oliva, and Jim Ferrer.
The Creative Team behind
Dexter M. Santos—director of “Ang Huling Bimbo The Musical”—will helm the entire production together with two artistic directors: Menchu Lauchengo-Yulo and Michael Williams.
The playwright in charge would be Rody Vera accompanied by Ejay Yatco as musical director and arranger.
Other creative members include Lawyn Cruz for set design, Monino Duque for lights design, Raven Ong for costume design, Go Fallarme and Joyce Garcia for video design, Arvy Dimaculangan for sound design, and Stephen Viñas for choreography.
FHTC will onboard the cast for the 2024 run of “Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical” at the Newport World Resorts. Show dates, on the other hand, are yet to be announced.
