Rio Locsin Bares Truth Behind Emotions In “Black Rider” BTS Video

Rio Locsin dispels rumor that there was no medic on the set of “Black Rider”

Veteran actress Rio Locsin revealed the truth behind the viral video taken on the set of GMA-7’s “Black Rider,” wherein she can be seen in a state of tears and disconsolation. 

In the circulating video, Rio can be seen shedding heavy tears after doing an emotionally charged scene. “Black Rider” lead star Ruru Madrid is offering her comfort. 

The two minute-long video has gained the attention of the netizens, as they point out the “lack” of aid that Rio received during her distressful moment. 

Amid conclusions, the question remains as to what was the reason behind Rio’s strong emotions.  

In an interview with the actress, she says that she’s been carried away by passionate feelings while doing the scene—thus explains why she was disconsolate at that time. 

She shares, “Tama po kayo, hindi ako nakabitaw agad sa napakataas na emosyon na kinakailangang ibigay sa eksena. Kasi apat na tuluy-tuloy na eksena na maraming namatay at isa-isa naming nakikita.”

Rio has also acknowledged the compassion that some of her co-workers have shown, including Ruru who never left her side during such a moment. 

As she puts it, “Hindi talaga ako iniwan ni Ruru pagkatapos ng mabibigat naming eksena.” 

She adds, “Ang lahat ay nag-aalala, since senior na ako at ramdam ko ang pag-aalaga nila sa akin. Pagkatapos nun, balik na ulit sa normal. Tsikahan na uli.” 

Were there medical personnels during the taping? 

Contrary to the netizens’ tittle-tattle about the lack of medic during taping, Rio says that there was actually medical help ready if needed. 

She reveals, “May mga medic kami sa set. May ambulance din. Kaya hindi totoo na walang medic na tumutulong, nagkataon lang na hindi ko naman talaga kinailangan na magpa-medic nung oras na yun. Hindi rin totoo na inatake ako ng hika, wala po akong hika.”

If any, Rio deemed the incident as an attestation of her dedication as an actress. In the end, she hopes that they can move their audiences through compelling acting. 

Rio says, “Sa abot ng aming makakaya, kung ano ang nararamdaman namin sa eksena, kami ni Ruru, parehong damdamin at puso ang ipinaaabot namin sa mga manonood, na nawa’y maipaabot namin yung emosyon na nararamdaman namin para sa mga eksena.” 

“Black Rider” airs on weekdays at 8:00 p.m. on GMA Prime. Its most recent trailer reveals that a massacre is set to happen in the town Elias (Ruru) is living in.
