BTS Jimin Receives “Barbie” Guitar From Ryan Gosling

It’s a cute gift from Ken!

BTS’ Jimin is now rocking Ken’s guitar from the “Barbie” movie, courtesy of Ryan Gosling.

Ryan reached out to Jimin with a “humble offering” of the instrument, acknowledging that Jimin had sported the Western Ken look first and pulled it off “best.” The gift served as a peace offering after Jimin broke the “Barbie cardinal rule.”

Recently, Jimin expressed his gratitude on social media and shared no hard feelings between them. In an Instagram video, he brandished Ken’s signature black acoustic guitar and said, “Hi Ryan and hi Ken, it’s Jimin. Congrats on your big release. My fans are excited to see your video, so thank you so much. I could see that you look great in my outfit.”

Jimin added, “Thank you for this guitar. I really love it, and I look forward to watching Barbie. Go Barbie!”

Before the film’s premiere, Ryan apologized for unintentionally copying Jimin’s Western-style outfit from his “Permission to Dance” music video.

In a video shared on the official Twitter account of “Barbie,” Ryan said, “I noticed that your ‘Permission to Dance’ outfit is the same as my Ken outfit in the upcoming movie Barbie. I have to give it to you — you wore it first. You definitely wore it best, and there’s an unspoken Ken code that if you bite another Ken’s style, you have to give them your most prized possession.

“I hope you’ll accept Ken’s guitar as my humble offering. And besides, Ken doesn’t really play anyway, so… it’ll be much better in your hands.”

The guitar is featured in Ken’s rendition of “Push,” a song by Matchbox Twenty, adding an emotional touch to his character’s narrative and relationship with Barbie.
