She will star in a TV adaptation of a famous Rudy Fernandez film
Sarah Lahbati is all set to make her acting comeback after six years.
She is set to take on the lead role in the TV adaptation of Rudy Fernandez’s film “Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa.”
Sarah teased her fans on December 9 with a glimpse of the script on her Instagram post she captioned, “grateful.”
Hours later, Viva TV officially announced that Sarah would be the female lead in the forthcoming TV5 show, sharing the screen with Kiko Estrada and Sid Lucero.
VIVA unveiled photos from the recent story conference, and Sarah reposted clips and images from the event on her Instagram.
“Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa” originated as a 1986 action film starring the late Rudy Fernandez alongside Eddie Garcia, Jackie Lou Blanco, Mark Gil, and Ricky Davao.
Sarah’s television comeback
Sarah has been away from major soap opera roles as she focused on building her family with husband Richard Gutierrez.
Her last project was the 2017 afternoon series “The Promise of Forever,” aired in ABS-CBN.
In October 2023, Sarah made a cameo appearance at the finale of Richard’s primetime series, “The Iron Heart.”
However, a few weeks after the cameo appearance, a rumor of a split between the couple surfaced after netizens noticed that they celebrated Halloween with their kids separately.
At press time, both Sarah and Richard have been mum on the issue.
