Sharon: “We just got some emotions because we’re real people”
Sharon Cuneta has revealed that she and husband Kiko Pangilinan momentarily separated, then got back together again after facing a rough patch on the road.
The rumor started to circulate back in December 2023, when Sharon uploaded a series of cryptic posts on social media. The speculation sparked further when she posted a family photo showing Kiko’s head cropped out of it.

In an Instagram live on January 1, 2024 with her family, the “Megastar” confirmed that the rumor was actually true—she indeed parted ways with Kiko for a while but then decided to reconcile after quite some time.
After greeting the viewers a “Happy New Year,” a teary-eyed Sharon confesses the truth and says, “Every post I made was just to show you when I was sad. And then, of course, like everyone else, that’s normal.
“After sadness, we fix some things and then we become happy. I don’t know why so many people are so mean. For the record, ain’t nothing wrong with any of our brains.
“We’re good. We’re normal. We just got some emotions because we’re real people.”
Kiko seconds the thought and says, “Sabi ko nga, ‘Lahat ng pamilya, lahat ng mag-asawa, nangyayari ang tampuhan.’”
Sharon adds, “Nag-away kami, naghiwalay kami, ‘tapos nagbati na kami. So, okay na kami, okay?
“That’s the meaning of all the messages I posted, but I’ll clarify, the quotes, all the other posts were for people close to me that I think needed those posts.”

Sharon and Kiko have already patched things up before the new year came. In fact, they were seen attending the Metro Manila Film Festival’s Gabi ng Parangal 2023 on December 27, 2023 with their kids—Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
In an interview with ABS-CBN on December 28, Kiko says that no relationship is spared from that ordeal. As he puts it, “May kanya-kanyang dinadaanan din.”
While for Sharon, she acknowledges that despite misunderstandings, “The family is here. You know my husband is very quiet.”

Sharon and Kiko have three kids, Frankie, Miel, and Miguel. Sharon had her firstborn KC Concepcion with her previous partner Gabby Concepcion.
