Sharon Cuneta Reveals Falling Out With Gabby Concepcion After Dear Heart Concert

Sharon: “Not my fault”

Sharon Cuneta and ex-husband Gabby Concepcion have fallen out of connection with each other following their reunion concert, “Dear Heart,” in October 2023.

Their indifference toward each other is very evident—given the lack of news and developments about their rekindled friendship after the concert’s successful run.

Such a speculation was then confirmed when Sharon graced an interview with select members of the press at an insurance event on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

One of the press members—PEP.ph—asked if there ever was a misunderstanding between them, which Sharon tapped lightly on.

Without sharing too much information, Sharon stated that a second show titled “P.S. I Love You” was already in the works. However, it did not push through mainly because there are some internal disagreements that restricted the show.

She shares, “Just this. Let’s be honest. The repertoire was supposed to be much better. It was a beautiful show. Kasado na. Everyone was ready.”

“And apparently, negotiations didn’t go through. Okay, I won’t say it, but let’s just say hindi siya natuloy not because of us. I was so excited and ready to do it. Sayang. Nanghihinayang ako.

“I made so many of our fans happy, and I wanted to continue making them happy. So I guess that’s it.”

She then emphasized, “Not my fault.”

Sharon Cuneta says miscommunication was the problem

Sharon and Gabby first showed signs of yet another fallout, when the 58-year-old actress published an Instagram post begging fans to stop linking her with Gabby.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Sharon wrote, “We have not been in touch since our last concert, we do not talk, text, see each other.

“We are living totally separate lives and whatever has been going on in mine, he has absolutely nothing to do with—and vice-versa.”

In the same post, Sharon acknowledged the fan service that the Dear Heart concert may have brought for their avid supporters. But in consideration of that, she still emphasized all the reasons why they “have not gotten back together” since they broke up in 1987.

Parallel to Sharon’s statement to PEP.ph, she initially stated in the post how there were communication strains that persistently hindered the possibility of a second show.

She says, “The ‘Dear Heart’ concerts might be the last you will see of us together for a long time or even ever.

“It’s just too complicated when our parties, and we, just somehow cannot communicate and agree on certain thing both work-related and not.

“My team and I have gone above and beyond for him so that Dear Heart could be brought to you, our beloved fans.”

Sharon and Gabby tied the knot in 1984. Three years later, in 1987, they separated. Since then, they consistently have had complicated relationship as co-parents.

They have a daughter, KC Concepcion.

Sharon is currently married to Kiko Pangilinan with three kids, Kaki, Miel, and Miguel Pangilinan.

Gabby, on the other hand, has been married to Genevieve Yatco Gonzales since 2004. He is set to banner GMA Prime’s upcoming series “My Guardian Alien.”
