Alex Gonzaga’s global itinerary has taken her to Vietnam next.
Multimedia icon Alex Gonzaga has indeed been wowing the world over with her immense social media presence. And now, the citizens of Vietnam get acquainted with the array of work she’s done through her cover story on Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam’s 10th-anniversary issue.
Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam revealed the stunning cover shots of Alex on July 4, Sunday, to much fanfare. She shares the spotlight of the magazine’s month-long 10th-year edition with other icons such as rapper Iggy Azalea, model Ngoc Lan Vy, Hollywood producer Jojo Ryder, K-Pop group GOT7 member Choi Youngjae, and Miss Global 2020 Karolina KokeÅ¡ová.
Following the release, Alex herself shared her own disbelief over the accomplishment on Instagram.
“Please pinch me,” the social media sensation wrote. “This is not even in my checklist but grabe!!!”
She then went on to thank her all-Filipino creative team, including head photographer Seven Barretto of Studio 7 Manila, art director and set designer d set designer Erwin Botin of Botin Studios, make-up artist Carissa Cielo Medved, and hair and fashion stylists Jerry Javier, Cathleen Sobrevega, and Kristine Landingin.
Also part of Alex’s homegrown group of talents are the video team’s Jeric Abanico and Jason Cayacap, as well as her personal team members Pinty Gonzaga and JC Santos Bagio.
Profiling her as a multi-hyphenated star of many masks – television host, actress, singer, comedian, entrepreneur, vlogger, and author — the cover story talked about Gonzaga’s trajectory and imminent success story underneath the spotlight. It touched upon topics close to her heart such as her rise in the show business, the “cheerful energy” that fuels her social media flair, and of course, her married life with Mikee Morada.
Harper Bazaar Vietnam also sat down with Alex to ask how these aspects of her life intersect with such harmony.
“I understand people, so every time I make a vlog, I know what to share and what not to,” Alex shared with the publication. “As a wife, I respect my husband. My husband is a government employee, so I know where to stop.”
She also gave readers a glimpse of how her growing family figures in her plans moving forward.
“My husband and I are still in the process of completing our new home. But I look forward to the day when the two of them go out separately, to live in a family ‘managed.’ But living with your husband in the room you grew up in is also fun!” she gleefully replied.
A feat which only a handful of Filipinas have accomplished, Alex’s latest stint follows the footsteps of icons who formerly graced the prestigious publication’s cover such as Anne Curtis, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
