“Hindi kami naghiwalay ni Awra,” Vice confirms
Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda has finally spoken up about his talent Awra Briguela for the first time since the latter’s controversial involvement in a riot at a bar in Makati.
“Yeah, she is still my talent,” the TV host confirms in an exclusive interview with “TV Patrol” reporter MJ Felipe on Tuesday, August 23.

The confirmation is on the heels of an ongoing rumor that Vice dropped Awra out of his management following the brawl at The Bolthole Bar in Makati on June 29, 2023.
Vice reveals: “Alam mo, nagtataka ako kung saan nila nakukuha. One, no one asked me, ikaw lang nagtanong sa akin.
“No one asked me. I was not interviewed by anyone kaya nagtataka ako kung saan nila nakukuha ang mga tsikang iniwan ko si Awra.”
According to Vice, Awra cannot dignify any interview at the moment—which makes for a case: “Saan kaya nila nakukuha?”
Vice views it more as an attempt of rumormongers to use the issue for clout and to drag his name and Awra’s with it.
Vice Ganda admits getting upset over the issue
As a protective manager and a parent figure to his ward, Vice has admitted to getting angry at Awra’s involvement in such an incident.
“Pinagpahinga ko muna siya ng ilang araw. Hindi right away para mahimasmasan. Because ako din, papahupain ko, kasi siyempre galit din ako, mainit din ang ulo ko.”

Vice admits that he even had a conversation with Awra’s father—a gesture he claims as coming from “concern, love, and support.”
Other than what was disclosed, the comedian opted out of bringing the issue at length. His discretion, however, offers comfort that he would not, in any way, drop Awra out of management, more, out of his care.
As Vice puts it: “Ito lang ang gusto kong klaruhin, hindi kami naghiwalay ni Awra. Hinding-hindi ko siya iiwanan lalung-lalo na sa posisyong ito ng buhay niya.
“She needs guidance. I will be there for her. She’s okay and she’s trying to be better each other.”
Update on Awra Briguela
Not so much about the 19-year-old star makes it to public ears these days. But just when she thought that the controversy was long dead and over, she had another round of cases filed by one of the figures from the brawl, Mark Christian Ravana.

Following the slight physical injury that Mark filed at the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office, he then filed three more complaints under light threats, grave coercion, and her violation of the safe space act.
Awra’s cases are non-bailable, but Mark’s legal camp remains lenient with the possibility of having a conciliatory meeting with the young star.
