They had three sessions of intimacy workshops in Thailand
Janella Salvador and Win Metawin, the stars of “Under Parallel Skies,” had a smooth experience in filming their first project together.
This, they said, stemmed from going through intimacy workshops which were conducted before the production of the film.
During a recent media conference for the film, Janella talked about the preparations they made, considering the barriers of culture and location.
According to Janella, there wasn’t any awkward moment with Win as this was immediately addressed by intimacy workshops. They had three sessions in Thailand, which helped them become more familiar with each other even before filming began.
Writer-director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo emphasized the importance of comfortability between her actors as this contributes to the chemistry they want to achieve.
She explained, “What is important for me is both of them should be really comfortable with each other.
“I keep on telling my actors that if I don’t believe that you guys are together, then definitely it will resonate in the film, and the audiences will feel it.”

“Under Parallel Skies,” produced by 28 Squared Studios and Two Infinity Entertainment, marks the second Filipino film to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures after Piolo Pascual’s “Mallari.”
The movie premiered at the 17th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, where it is set.
It will open in Philippine theaters in April 17, followed by a May 1 premiere at Singapore and then in Thailand on May 9.
