If you’re an iPhone user, you probably already got the notification that iOS 15 is available for download. As per PhilStarLife.com, it comes with cool new features, such as the ability to FaceTime Android users, a new Focus mode, redesign notifications, and more.

It may sound exciting to be du jour when it comes to the latest technology, but you might want to hold off for a week or two. Why? Basically, a software update won’t be perfect at launch, which means iOS 15 will have some bugs and glitches during its initial release.

The same was the case with iOS 14 last year. A lot of users reported that their default browsers and mail apps reverted whenever they restarted their phones. This means that if you upgrade to iOS 15 on day one, you become one of Apple’s beta testers.

Plus, you might want to take a look at the iPhone model you’re using before you get the update. The oldest iPhones that can support iOS 15 are the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. If your iPhone model is older than that, it can’t support the latest software update.

If you’re thinking, ‘c’est la vie,’ you can update to iOS 15 right away. However, experts advise you back up your device in case something goes wrong. You should also free up space by deleting old photos and unnecessary apps. That’s another reason to delete photos of your ex, right?

What’s new about iOS 15 anyway? Well, Apple made big changes to FaceTime and iMessage. You can now add Windows and Android users to FaceTime calls. Plus, FaceTime will also look more like Zoom where you can see all participants in a grid view. There will also be voice isolation and Spatial Audio. These features totally come in handy as a lot of people still work from home.

You can even listen to songs or watch movies together while video chatting on FaceTime. It means you have more things to do together as you telebabad with your friends wherever they are in the world.

Meanwhile, iMessage gets new sharing features for media like photos, news, and playlists. All in all, it’s worth getting the new software update, but if you can help it, try to wait for Apple to squash the bugs.
