Just like “GTA VI,” the third installment of the “Red Dead Redemption” franchise might take years to release
Rockstar Games is reportedly in the early stages of developing “Red Dead Redemption 3.”
The rumor doesn’t specify which platforms the game will be released on. It’s presumed that it will likely be available on the PS6 and the next Xbox, given the consoles’ life cycles.
Much of Rockstar Games’ attention is on the highly anticipated “GTA VI.” The game is rumored to be revealed later this year. Reportedly, the game has the potential to be released in either late 2023 or the first half of 2024.

The rumor comes from a reputable leaker, MyTimeToShineHello, who stated that the game is officially in the works. While some have interpreted this as “GTA VI” nearing completion, it’s more likely that this pertains to pre-production. This stage is where foundational concepts and ideas are being explored.
Bethesda Game Studios spent five years in pre-production for “The Elder Scrolls 6” while developing “Starfield.” It only recently transitioned to full production as “Starfield” neared its release.

Rockstar Games has not commented on this rumor. Like with all game rumors, the company ignores them for confidentiality reasons. With how long Rockstar Games usually takes to produce a game, the next “Red Dead Redemption” installment might reach a release beyond 2030.
