Forda Silver Millennium!
Sailor Moon is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. If that last sentence made you feel old, here’s some news that will make you feel better. Several brands collaborated with Naoko Takeuchi’s beloved opus to mark this occasion.
Check them out below.
G-Shock and Baby-G have collaborated with Naruto and One Piece. Now, they’ve done something with Sailor Moon. Based on the Baby-G BA-110 model, a new watch will soon be available on G-Shock’s Shopee store. Sailor Moon’s transformation scenes inspired its striking design. It also comes with a matching tin.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a silhouette of Sailor Moon herself engraved on the back of the watch face. If you’re a fan and you want the watch, follow G-Shock’s Shopee store for updates about its availability.
This collab features Sailor Moon’s crew twinning with characters like Hello Kitty. The available products include memo pads, phone cases, and more. They’re available in select Sanrio stores all over Japan, but you can see about buying them online.
SailorMoon also came to Uniqlo. At first, the collection was only available in select stores. But the shirts (priced at P790 and available in a wide range of sizes and styles) soon made their way to the app. You can see what’s still available by going here.
The Sailor Moon franchise teamed up with Vans for a special collection. Aside from shoes, the collection also has t-shirts, hats, backpacks, and more. The collection dropped on June 10 in the Philippines. It was almost completely sold out in a matter of days, with no news on whether Vans would be restocking or not.
Sailor Moon crafts and exhibits
A special Sailor Moon exhibit is currently open at Roppongi Museum in Japan. It opened in July and will run until December 30. The exhibit includes an immersive multimedia theater, holographic displays, and over 600 items.
Sailor Moon’s collaboration with famous Japanese artisans produced some traditional Japanese crafts. You can shop the entire collection online.
