Andrea asserts that netizens should have watched her full vlog first before judging her
Andrea Brillantes did not mince her words when she asserted that some people merely overreacted to her recent Date or Pass vlog last August 21, 2023.
The “Senior High” star also claimed that she somehow anticipated that people would react negatively to that video.
However, she did not expect the avalanche of hate comments when she said that she wanted to date actress Ina Raymundo’s son, Jakob Poturnak.

Having seen several articles online based on that said vlog, Andrea said, “‘Tapos alam niyo, wala akong pang-amoy, pero doon pa lang naamoy ko na yung comment section.
“Like, I had a feeling na siguro yung comment section, puno na naman ng mga boomers. Siguro sinasabi nila na, ‘Puro ako boys, hanap ako nang hanap, magpahinga naman muna ako,’ or to be harsh, ‘Malandi daw akezzz.’
“Pero hindi rin naman nagkamali ang lola niyo dahil tama nga ako, puro yun nga ang nasa comment section,” she said in a post on her TikTok account on August 27, 2023.
Andrea explains her vlog
According to Andrea, netizens should have watched her vlog in its entirety before judging her and commenting that she was flirting with Jakob.
The Kapamilya actress emphasized that she has added enough disclaimers to the video and that it should not be taken seriously.
She even added an extra measure by changing the title of the game to Date or Pass instead of the more well-known Jojowain or Totropahin.
“And the term of jojowain for me is too serious na, and the last time I did that type of content, I actually ended up being with the guy na trinopa ko. Siyempre, ayoko nang maulit yun, di ba? I explained that on my video,” she said.
She speculated that those who overreacted might not have watched the entire video.
“Alam niyo yan kung nanood kayo. Pero, siyempre, hindi kayo nanood kaya nga kayo judgmental, e. E, di ayun, in-OA na ng mga tao, oo.”
“Nakita ko kasi yun pagkagising ko, e. Yung reaksiyon ko talaga, ‘Luh, ito na naman tayo. Sineryoso na naman yung dapat playtime lang,” she said.
The Kapamilya star likewise explained that while she is a celebrity and that whatever she says might attract attention, she never really imagined that her “taste” in men would gather much traction.
“Sinabi ko lang naman na naguguwapuhan ako dun sa tao, ano bang big deal dun?
“Pero like, ito, talaga ba, ganito kaliit na bagay, like, it is really that relevant? Like, is my love life or taste in boys really that relevant to this world? Full of problems na nga,” she lamented.
To wrap up her post and address those who quickly judged her without fully watching the video, Andrea narrated what she said in the vlog.
“So, again, para sa mga hindi nanood, for full context lang, sa part kasi na yun kinuwento ko na, ‘This guy went up to me, nagpakilala siya, blah blah. Sayang lang kasi at that time I was taken, e.’ I really do find him attractive so, sabi ko, ‘Ngayon, single na ako…’ as a joke,” she ended.
Andrea has recently called it quits with basketball player Ricci Rivero.
