Andy Muschietti hints at his involvement in the “Batman” project
According to industry scoop site One Take News, “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti is finalizing a deal to helm the upcoming “Batman” project from James Gunn/DC Studios.
Andy is set reportedly at the helm to direct “Batman: The Brave and The Bold,” marking his third take on the Caped Crusader.
The film will feature Ben and Michael’s interpretations of the iconic DC hero. The project might be Andy’s next following the highly anticipated multiverse storyline in “The Flash.”
Warner Bros. and James, however, haven’t officially confirmed the news.
However, in a recent interview on the promotional tour of “The Flash,” Andy hinted at his involvement in the “Batman” project.
When asked which version of “Batman” he would like to tackle, he coyly responded, “I can’t speak to that… yet.”
While details about “The Brave and The Bold” are yet to be revealed, the film is rumored to focus on Batman and his son Damien Wayne, who serves as the latest Robin.
Live-action depictions of Robin have been absent since the notorious 1997 film “Batman & Robin.”
If Andy is confirmed as the director, he will face the challenging task of reintroducing this iconic sidekick after all these years.
Before Andy goes into his “Batman” era, audiences will have the opportunity to witness his directorial skills in the DC universe with the upcoming release of “The Flash.” It has already generated significant buzz with its fan reactions and leaked cameos.
The Flash, directed by Andy Muschietti, stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash. he stands alongside a star-studded cast including Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ben and Michael as Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl.
