How many kids do Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque want to have in the future?
Several weeks after getting engaged, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque recently appeared as guests on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” in order to look back on the beginnings of their love story.
The engaged couple revealed that it was their mutual friend and fellow celebrity Ian Veneracion who served as their matchmaker.
But initially, Dominic thought he didn’t have a chance with Bea.
He told Jessica, “Noong time na yun, hindi ko rin po naisip na magiging girlfriend ko siya or ngayon, fiance ko po.
“Inamin ko na crush ko siya nung time na yun pero inisip ko na imposibleng magkaroon ako ng chance na maging boyfriend niya.
“Kasi, at that time, nasa relationship ako. Ilang years, magkaibigan kami pero hanggang doon lang po. Alam ko sa sarili ko na hanggang doon lang kami sa magkaibigan lang kami.“
Bea disclosed, “Siya [Ian Veneracion] yung cupid namin, siya talaga yung matchmaker.”
When asked if Ian will serve as one of their godfathers in the wedding, Bea quipped, “Magagalit yun!”
Dominic admitted, “Si Kuya Ian po talaga yung nagsabi sa akin na parang may pag-asa ka kay Bea or something.”
The GMA-7 actress recalled what she initially thought about Dominic back then, “Sabi ko naman kay Kuya Ian, ang bata niya [Dominic], pero cute naman.”
Bea and Dominic were able to get to know each other even more when they went on a trip abroad.
Bea and Dominic’s Japan trip
Dominic had the chance to become close to Bea when he volunteered to accompany Bea when she went to Japan in 2019.
Bea was supposed to go on this trip with her friend but the person became sick which is why Dominic ended up being her companion.
The two got to know each other better while riding the trains in Japan. The actress felt like she was in a Korean drama series while she explored the Land of the Rising Sun with Dominic.
She happily declared, “For me, this is like a movie, too. It’s just like, this time, I have a happy ending.”
However, Dominic had to return to the Philippines and Bea felt very sad because of his absence. It was during this time that Bea realized that she had developed feelings for the actor who is two years younger than her.
Bea recalled, “After that train ride, nagkamalisya na… Kinailangan na niyang umuwi. Seriously, nalungkot ako nung aalis siya. Sabi ko, ‘Bakit ako nalulungkot na aalis siya?’ Parang type ko yata siya.”
Since then, the two communicated regularly until they became a couple.
Bea and Dominic were in a relationship for four years before they got engaged on July 18, 2023 at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan.

Bea and Dominic on having kids in the future
“Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” host Jessica Soho asked the couple how many kids they want to have in the future.
Bea answered, “Gusto namin marami, pero 35 na po ako, baka mahirapan na ako.”
Dominic then said, “May mga ilang years pa. Siguro po kaya po namin walo.”
In response, Bea laughed heartily.
Bea confirmed her relationship with Dominic in August 2021 after exclusively seeing each other since January of the same year. The celebrity couple marked their second anniversary last January 28, 2023.
