It sounds like Blue will star in his own version of ‘No Way Home.’
On February 16, Paramount announced on Twitter that a Blue’s Clues film is in the works. The movie is set to premiere on November 18 on the company’s streaming platform, Paramount+.
The film, titled Blue’s Big City Adventure, features all three of Blue’s fave humans: Steve, Joe, and Josh. Here’s an exclusive look at the three hosts with Blue below.
Blue’s Clues is a children’s television series. The show premiered on Nickelodeon as part of Nick Jr. on September 8, 1996. Its combination of animated and live-action elements appealed to many.
Steve Burns hosted Blue’s Clues during its original run from 1996 to 2002. Most viewers remember him as Blue’s original human. As such, his shocking departure from the show saddened them. Steve reportedly left to pursue a career in music. After Steve, Donovan Patton signed on to play the role of Joe. He hosted the show until it ended in August 2006.
The show was later rebooted and retitled Blue’s Clues & You! In a landmark moment for Asian representation in US media, a Filipino became the host. Actor Josh Dela Cruz became Blue’s newest human. Steve and Joe returned to the series as recurring characters. Josh plays a fictionalized version of himself on the show. Steve and Joe are his character’s cousins. The reboot has had three successful seasons so far. A fourth season is already in the works.
Fans of all ages are very excited to see what Paramount has planned for the film. Right now, there isn’t much information on the direction of Blue’s Big City Adventure. No one outside the film’s production staff knows what it’s going for. But one thing’s for sure; It’s going to be nostalgic helping Blue out with his clues.
