Emma says she hasn’t met Daniel prior to his Vietnam trip
A certain Minh Phuong of Vietnam has broken her silence in an attempt to dispel the allegation linking her to Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s breakup.
On Monday, January 15, 2024, Minh Phuong, who also goes by the name of Emma, uploaded an official statement on Instagram about her alleged involvement with the 28-year-old Filipino actor.
In a lengthy post, Emma reveals that she has been getting messages from Daniel’s fans and how they antagonize her for meeting the actor back when he flew to Vietnam last year.
She writes, “Since last year, I have received a lot of messages from fans and supporters of Daniel Padilla, a famous actor in the Philippines. It is known that Daniel visited Vietnam last year with his friends. Prior to his visit in my country, I have never met him.
“My brother owns the bar that Daniel went to. My brother told me that Daniel is there and I can say hi to him because I know he is a famous actor. I saw Daniel and his friends in the bar, exchanged a few words, and then I went back home with my sister. That is the end of my interaction with him.”
With all the hate she has been receiving since, Emma then pleads Daniel’s supporters to practice human decency and politeness.
She says, “I know you guys love and appreciate your idol. I also feel the same to the artists I support, but please be civilized and polite. Please be a cultured person. You guys have threatened my life and my job, sent messages and spammed my family and friends. This is something I would not wish to happen to anyone.”
Emma has also denied the allegation that she’s connected with a certain user on Instagram. Fans claim that the account is handled by Daniel, which he uses to interact with Emma on the said social media platform.
Bu as for Emma, “To be clear, I do not know who Johnnymoonlightz is, and I do not care who he is either.”
Ultimately, Emma emphasizes that the accusations that fans hurl are baseless and are not back by sufficient credibility.
“I am a common Vietnamese citizen. I work, hang out with my friends, meet people, and live my life normally. I hope you maintain dignity and respect when coming to my social media, and please do not act without thinking,” Emma finishes.

Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s breakup
Kathryn and Daniel—more known to their fans as KathNiel—have announced their separation on November 30, 2023, through separate statements on Instagram.

After 11 years of being together, they decided to call it quits for a reason many believed was a case of Daniel’s infidelity.
Prior to their announcement, Kathryn and Daniel’s relationship was hounded with controversy after entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz revealed their parting. He also named Andrea Brillantes as the alleged third party.

In the ensuing weeks, many were dragged into the issue, including Gillian Vicencio who Kathryn got to work with in “2 Good 2 Be True” and “A Very Bad Girl.”
Despite their decision to carry on with their respective lives, the former couple remained civil and were occasionally seen at several events, including the Asia Artist Awards on December 14, 2023 and Robi Domingo’s wedding on January 6, 2024.

However, after that, Kathryn seemingly pointed out a bigger picture when he unfollowed Daniel on Instagram, along with other celebrity friends, Gillian, Liza Soberano, and Julia Barretto.
