Donny: “We just had fun. We had a great time”
Donny Pangilinan has seen himself in a middle of a tittle-tattle after some netizens imply malice on a now-viral video of him and Kathryn Bernardo at Robi Domingo’s wedding reception.

Robi Domingo tied the knot with his long-time fiancée Maiqui Pineda on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in Bulacan.
Invited to the wedding are some of Robi’s showbiz colleagues, including Kathryn and Donny.
Days after the wedding, Donny and Kathryn have made rounds on the internet after some netizens put romantic connotations on a viral video taken from the reception.
The video in question shows what seemed to be an afterparty of the event wherein Kathryn is dancing and having fun with other attendees.
Kathryn was then approached by Donny who looks like he is trying to say something although inaudible.

At the press conference for his new film “GG (Good Game): The Movie” on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Donny has finally broken his silence about the issue and claims that they were having fun that time.
Asked by MJ Marfori of TV5, the actor replies with, “Wedding ni Robi yun. Friends kaming lahat. I think friends naman kami lahat sa industriya. We just had fun. We had a great time.
“Siyempre, wedding ng friend namin yun, we had a great time. Lahat naman kami, friends sa showbiz. So, binabantayan lang namin sa isa’t isa. Yun lang yun.
“I think for me, it’s just having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat na okay kami, enjoy namin yung trabaho namin. And that’s the most important thing.”
Donny is currently paired with Belle Mariano; together they are called DonBelle.
Kathryn, for her part, has been silent since and has yet to release a statement over the issue.

Speaking on the matter on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Robi has taken to X (formerly Twitter) his statement to defend the involved names.
The celebrity host has retweeted a copy of the video and says, “Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please. [finger heart emoji]”
“Also, being the groomsmen, [Donny] and [Darren Espanto] helped us out in taking care of all of the guests.”

Robi and Maiqui wed in an intimate ceremony held at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan.
Starting off joyous, Robi has then received bad news by the end of the celebration that his grandmother passed away the same day of his wedding.
