Ellen Adarna shrugs off a question from a netizen asking whether or not she minds receiving a Php299 engagement ring.
The online world has been divided over the past week, after an anonymous confession went viral on Facebook.
The post was from an unsettled girlfriend who allegedly received an engagement ring worth Php299 from his boyfriend of eight years. According to her, she feels guilty for feeling upset since her beau did not save up for the ring she deserves.
Upon discovering that the ring does not cost much, she was torn on whether to confront his boyfriend or let the matter slip.
The issue has been the talk of the town for quite some time, with netizens expressing their opinions on whether or not the price of an engagement ring matters.
However, for Ellen, it seems like she does not want to meddle on other people’s business as she shrugs off the topic in an Instagram story.
She says, “Okay, so obviously, [they] didn’t understand my Bisaya answer about this. Grabe ang trending. My answer is, it’s not my problem, so wala akong paki. Not my problem.”

Ellen has already expressed her sentiment on the issue but she had to reiterate it since her original answer was rendered in Bisaya.
The 35-year-old actress is married to Derek Ramsay. They tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on November 11, 2021, at Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villas and Resort in Bagac, Bataan.
