Viking cut
Grimes gave her baby a fresh haircut and shared pics of the outcome on Instagram.
“Not sure this haircut went well but he’s [a] Viking now,” she said.
She explained that the haircut was inspired by the British historical fiction series “The Last Kingdom,” which she described as a “masterpiece.”

Name change
Grimes and Elon’s son’s name has already been through a lot–it was first changed from “X Æ A-12” to “X Æ A-Xii,” then changed again to “X AE A-XII,” since only the 26 letters in the English alphabet are allowed in Californian birth certificates.
According to Grimes, it’s pronounced as “X A.I. A Twelve,” while Elon said it is “X Ash A Twelve.”

Grimes shared the story behind this name choice through Twitter:
•X, the unknown variable ??
— ?????? (@Grimezsz) May 6, 2020
•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)
•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent ?
