Heart Evangelista answers question about her absence at friend Lovi Poe’s wedding
Heart Evangelista reveals that her dad was hospitalized, and such emergency restricted her from going to friend Lovi Poe’s wedding in England on August 26, 2023.
Observant netizens were quick to point out Heart’s absence during Lovi’s wedding with Monty Blencowe, which makes up for a case that the two actresses might have been in a rift.

The rumor quickly spread across all sides of the internet, with some users even creating TikTok videos about it.
However, Heart finally addressed the issue by commenting on a TikTok post captioned: “Lovi at Heart hindi na BFF.”
She briefly explains: “My dad is in the hospital.”
Following the much-talked-about wedding, Lovi is finally back in the Philippines to resume taping for ABS-CBN’s “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” wherein she plays as Mokang— actor Coco Martin’s love interest in the series.
Heart, on the other hand, had been in rough waters after the alleged credit-card controversy with her estranged glam team, Justine Louise Soriano and Jeck Aguilar. Following this, she releases a vlog centered around friendships and why it is more painful to get broken by platonic relationships than romantic ones.

Heart Evangelista and Lovi Poe’s friendship
Heart and Lovi share a strong sisterly bond. Such was made more apparent when Heart had Lovi as part of her bridal entourage during her wedding with husband Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero in 2015.
On top of that, the two actresses remain close buddies and occasional travel companions, as seen on their respective Instagram accounts.

Just one of the playful banters they had was when Lovi humorously hacked Heart’s Instagram. Using Heart’s account, Lovi posted a photo of her in black and white.
It comes with a caption that reads: “Isn’t she Lovi? omg lovi you stole my phone!!!”
Heart and Lovi have also worked together in the past, starting in 2011 when they bannered Chris Martinez’s film “Temptation Island.”
In the ensuing years, they made several collaborations, including GMA-7’s television series “Legacy” in 2012 and “Beautiful Strangers” in 2015.
