Heaven recalls funny moment with Marco when they shot their scene for “Sunny”
VIVA artist Heaven Peralejo is appreciative of her love-team partner Marco Gallo when he looked after her while filming the Philippine adaptation of the Korean Film “Sunny.”
Heaven is one of the movie’s lead stars while Marco did a cameo role in the film as her love interest.
During an interview with the lead stars of “Sunny” recently, FreebieMNL asked how Heaven felt when she found out that Marco would do a short role in the film.
She responded, “Siyempre, sobrang saya ko kasi sobrang saya ni Marco sa set…”
In addition, the “The Rain In España” actress recounted a funny story proving Marco’s efforts in filling the set’s atmosphere with good vibes.
Heaven explained, “May time na first time ko siyang makikita [sa story] ‘tapos may wind effect. So, unang shot was him. ‘Tapos nagawa niya na so, ako na, shot ko na.
“Tapos itong si Marco, sabi ko, ‘Uy! Tulungan mo ako. Just stand there.’ Sabi niya, ‘Okay. Give me one minute…’
“Sabi niya, ‘Okay. Take na natin.’ So, nandoon lang siya nakatayo. Magsa-start na [yung shoot], biglang nag-smile siya… Pag-smile niya, meron siyang marker sa ngipin. Sobrang loko niya!
“So, alam mo yon, sobrang nagdadala lang siya ng good vibes sa set.”

But it wasn’t just Marco bringing kilig to Heaven in a scene that she appreciates but the sweet gesture he did off-cam.
According to Heaven, there were times when Marco would stay behind to wait for her even if he was already done with his scenes and she still had sequences to shoot.
Heaven shares, “Minsan, kahit kunwari may taping kami, and then one sequence lang siya, sasamahan niya [pa rin] ako buong araw kahit tapos na yung sequence niya. So, may nag–aalaga [sa akin], oo!”
Even if their places are reversed, Heaven would make the same supportive gesture. “Of course, thankful naman ako pero I would do the same thing with him.
“Suportahan lang din naman talaga. So, kahit kunwari, in time, meron siyang movie na hindi naman din ako bida, or like, supporting lang ako or kahit cameo lang ako… gagawin ko yun para sa kanya.”
“Sunny” is a South Korean romantic-comedy film released in 2011 which follows the story of a woman’s dying wish of reconnecting with her highschool barkada.
Heaven plays the role of young Annie, while Vina Morales portrays the adult counterpart of the character.
“Sunny” came out in the cinemas on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Heaven wants to work with these actors again
Meanwhile, when asked about who she wants to do a reunion project with, Heaven mentioned her co-stars in “Nanahimik Ang Gabi,” Ian Veneracion and Mon Confiado.
Working with the two veteran actors was a valuable experience in her career and the bond they have created was, for her, perfect.
She said, “Sobrang laki nung tinulong nila sa akin. Ang dami nilang tinuro and, alam mo yon? Veterans na rin sila so nakakatuwa lang.
“Kasi kaming tatlo lang yung characters sa ‘Nanahimik Ang Gabi.’ So, we built, you know, friendship and ayon.”
“Parang I will always look up to them kasi talagang ibang klase silang mga actor. So sana in time, maka-work ko sila.“
Be it in a different project or a follow-up for “Nanahimik Ang Gabi,” Heaven is more than willing to go for another job with Ian and Mon.
The actress continued, “Siguro, sana second book ng ‘Nanahimik Ang Gabi.’ Why not, di ba?”
At the moment, Heaven and Marco are promoting their upcoming film titled “Men are from QC, Women are from Alabang” showing on the big screen on May 1, 2024.
