Sunshine Dizon Not Bothered By Poster Billing In “Sunny”

“Siguro, kung may issue ka, insecure ka,” says Sunshine about billing

Sunshine Dizon sees no big deal that she did not get the top billing equal to Vina Morales and Angelu de Leon in the VIVA movie “Sunny.”

“Sunny” is an adaptation of a Korean movie of the same name. It tells the story of a High School barkada who faced different challenges in life. They reunite in their 40s as the last wish of their leader who gets stricken by cancer.

Sharing top billing with Vina and Angelu are younger actresses Heaven Peralejo and Bea Binene, who play their younger versions respectively.

Also part of the film are Sunshine, Candy Pangilinan, Katya Santos, Tanya Garcia, and Ana Roces, with five VIVA actresses playing their younger versions.

Many fans noticed that Sunshine deserves better billing in the poster, given that Sunshine has headlined several top-rating programs.

In a short interview at the red carpet screening of “Sunny” on April 8 at SM North EDSA, Sunshine dismissed the issue saying that these things no longer bother her.

Talking to the press, Sunshine said, “Sorry ha… I’ve been in this business for so long. Small things like billing, I don’t care about it anymore as long as I know that I did my job properly and I have a good story and I’m in it, I’m fine with that.

Napakababaw po noong billing, my God. Hindi dapat maging issue yan.

Sunshine then pointed out: “Siguro, kung may issue ka, insecure ka.”

The drama actress then thinks that she has proven enough in the industry that she does not have to mind the “little shitty things.”

She says, “Honestly, I don’t even know about it, ha. Honestly, I haven’t even seen the poster.

“I’m already 40, okay? I’m turning 41 this July and those little shitty things, I don’t want to be bothered about it. Hindi ko na kailangan problemahin yan, right?

“And I guess, I’ve proven enough already. I’ve dedicated more than half of my life in this industry to be bothered about a little thing about billing. Parang ano lang yan, e… they say na there are no small roles.”

Sunshine has also returned to VIVA Artists Agency, her management when she was a teen actress.

“Sunny” opened in cinemas on April 10, 2024.
