YG Entertainment has broken their silence on the rumor.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim found herself at the center of rumors on her potential casting in a Marvel project.
An Allkpop rumor suggested that Jennie would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Luna Snow in an “Agents of Atlas” series.
Yet, Jennie’s agency, YG Entertainment, refuted these claims.
YG Entertainment responded to the rumors in an interview with Korean news outlet Naver. “Jennie has never received an offer to appear in the Marvel series Team Agents of Atlas,” said the agency.
Their statement effectively dismissed speculations surrounding Jennie’s involvement in the MCU project.
While Marvel Studios has provided no official confirmation about an “Agents of Atlas” project, rumors of an MCU TV series featuring the super-powered team have been circulating for some time. Some rumors also suggest Randall Park’s MCU character, Jimmy Woo, could lead the series.
The initial reports about the MCU Agents of Atlas project emerged in early 2020. Yet, Marvel Studios has not released any information since then.
It remains to be seen whether Luna Snow and the Agents of Atlas will make their appearance in the MCU. As for Jennie’s involvement, her agency’s denial suggests that she is not connected to the project at this time.
