Darna and Valentina had their solo moment on the red carpet!
The ABS-CBN Ball 2023 is one of the Kapamilya network’s highly anticipated events this year. Its culmination on Saturday, September 30, precedes the usual fashion gathering as it also aims to support various charitable causes.
As important gatherings usually go, the event was graced by various industry figures, including love teams, veteran stars, performers, and Kapamilya network’s most prized stars—some of whom have made the decision to walk solo.
Kim Chiu

“It’s Showtime” host Kim Chiu arrived in a silver number. However, this year, Kim has walked the red carpet without beau Xian Lim.
The 33-year-old actress revealed days before the event that her boyfriend won’t be coming to the ball with her. Such is so since Xian is currently in India to fulfill his dream of biking across the Himalayas.
Lovi Poe

“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” star Lovi Poe showed up, surprisingly, without her husband Monty Blencowe. But with or without her significant other, Lovi just proved that she can still captivate the floor in moss green, two-piece gown.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Another Kapamilya regular at the ABS-CBN Ball is Jodi Sta. Maria who donned a pearl-white ensemble. The main event of her number is the asymmetrical ribbon that emphasizes a good amount of skin at the back.
Jolina Magdangal

“Sinong Manok Mo?” host Jolina Magdangal brought in a pop of color, making her visually standout among the crowd of black, white, and gold. With sweetheart cut and a train, her hot pink number is one ensemble reminiscent of her status as a local pop icon.

Another fierce femme who walked solo is “Dirty Linen” star Janine Gutierrez. She renders a bolder image in a wine red gown—making up for a rosette illusion made more dramatic by its electric pleats.
Janella Salvador

This generation’s “Valentina” Janella Salvador has also attended the gathering with so much visual authority. The 25-year-old actress channeled a combination of neutral and daring in a flesh-colored, plunging neckline gown.
Jane De Leon

Of course, completing the fictional plot of “Darna” is Jane De Leon herself who came equally regal in a slightly frizzy bob cut and a strapped gold gown.

Sleek in a classic black suit and curtain haircut is Joshua Garcia. He walks solo despite recent rumors of his romance with a French-Filipina golfer Emilienne Vigier.
Piolo Pascual
The OG heartthrob Piolo Pascual has also dignified the red carpet with his presence. He is wearing what is dubbed as “Dapper Elegance,” a velvet brocade tuxedo custom-made by fashion designer Francis Libiran.
Richard Gutierrez
