Are television viewers set to witness one historical collaboration of two veteran comedians?
It seems like Kapuso comedian Michael V would want to work with comedian-host Vice Ganda, as hinted by one of his recent Instagram posts about such “possibilities.”
The 59-year-old comedian also known to the industry as Bitoy has teased fans with a photo of him and Vice.
His caption on the post reads: “Recently, tuwing nagko-cross ang paths namin ni Vice Ganda, isa lang pumapasok sa isip ko… possibilities.”
“In a time na parang ‘puwede na,’ ano na sa tingin n’yo ang posibleng mangyari? Good morning!”
Such a post brought in a lot of excitement among fans and even celebrities as they nudged them of the dream collaboration they have been waiting for.
Vice has returned the same recognition by uploading a photo with Michael. “ICON,” the caption reads.
Just as much, it immediately gained the nod of many, as artists and fans flocked to the comment section.
The said encounter happened on Saturday, August 19, when Michael V. made an appearance on noontime show “It’s Showtime” where Vice is a mainstay host.
Michael V’s guesting was mainly a surprise for another host Ogie Alcasid who was celebrating his 55th birthday at that time.
Vice Ganda and Michael V’s “possibilities”
Vice and Michael V. have met twice already; the first before their “It’s Showtime” encounter was back in July 2023 when GMA-7 held its second gala night at Marriot Hotel Pasay.
Vice even highlights on X (formerly Twitter) that meeting Michael V. was one of his best moments during the gala night.
Even before the subtle hints, Michael V. has already expressed his outright interest to have Vice Ganda at his long-running comedy gag show “Bubble Gang.”
He says, “Ako, in a heartbeat, gagawin ko kung walang magiging aberya. In a heartbeat, igi-guest ko talaga siya.
“Sana nga. I’m hoping si Vice Ganda is open to collaboration.
“The last time we met, the last time na nagkausap kami, lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘Sana makapag-guest ako sa ‘Bubble Gang,’ ‘no’?’ Sana. Sana.”
Both Vice and Michael V. make up the list of the country’s top comedians set to be recognized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines for the Philippine Film Industry Month in September 2023.
