The supernatural thriller is set to return for a final lap.
It’s been a year and a half since the third season of Manifest aired on NBC. The series got canceled shortly after, leaving fans disappointed.
It’s good Netflix picked the series up. The streaming platform renewed Manifest for a fourth and final season. Rumor has it this season will have 20 episodes, with part one premiering on November 4.
The background of Flight 828
To get you up to speed, this series is about a bunch of people who flew from Jamaica to New York on Flight 828. After a weird patch of turbulence hit the plane, they emerged unscathed. But when they landed, they received the shock of their lives. They learned the plane went missing and appeared five and a half years later.
Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas reprise their role as Michaela and Ben. The siblings were on the plane and had been experiencing premonitions. Since then, they’ve been trying to solve the mystery of what happened to Flight 828.
Season three ended with a major cliffhanger, with Ben’s son Cal returning as an adult. Cal was on Flight 828 as a child and didn’t age a day when they returned five years later. He disappeared when he touched the airplane’s tailfin. When Ben solved the mystery and returned the tailfin to the ocean, Cal returned, but as an adult.
Another part of the cliffhanger was the death of Ben’s wife, Grace. One of the passengers on the flight, Angelina, kidnapped Ben and Grace’s daughter. She stabbed Grace, leaving Ben alone and distraught.
