Ben&Ben’s successful year just got even better.
The nine-piece group has been named as the most-streamed Filipino artist on Spotify for the second year in a row with over 299 million streams in 2021 alone. But that’s not their only achievement on the streaming platform this year–they also got recognized as the most-streamed OPM artist (so far) in Spotify’s history!
“We made it, Liwanag ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ We’re now officially the most streamed Filipino artist so far on Spotify, with 1,190,834,525 streams. We don’t deserve this milestone, but we’d like to celebrate it with all of you 💙💛,” the band posted on Instagram.
We pray that these songs give you hope and healing, even in the darkest of times.
They also said that they’re looking forward to bigger things next year, which will hopefully include more milestones such as this.
Maraming salamat. Labyu. Pipiliin namin kayo, araw-araw.”
In July 2021, the group celebrated reaching 1 billion streams on Spotify even before the release of their second album, “Pebble House Vol. 1: Kuwaderno.” They also had their first major concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this month, where fellow OPM artists Chito Miranda, Juan Karlos, KZ Tandingan, Moira dela Torre, Munimuni, SB19, and Zild also performed.
