Adele’s fans will finally catch her live in concert again next year.
On October 26, 2021, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter announced that sign-ups to get pre-sale tickets to her comeback concert will be available on her website. But with lots of fans excited to hear her sing live again, Adele’s website crashed just moments after the announcement.
Pre-sale tickets sold out immediately after they became available on October 28 and 29. General sale tickets then became available on October 30, which also sold out in a few minutes.
According to The National, “fans on the Ticketmaster master website were able to track their place in the queue, with positions as high as 53,858th recorded.”
The upcoming concert, her first since 2017, will be happening at Hyde Park in London on July 1 and 2, 2022. It will be part of the British Summer Time Hyde Park (BST Hyde Park) music festival, where other big names in the music industry such as Elton John, Eagles, Duran Duran, and Pearl Jam will also perform.
The annual music event showcases a variety of music genres for an audience of up to 65,000. In 2019, attendees were able to watch live performances from Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Florence + the Machine, and Robbie Williams, among others.
