“Naruto” is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year! With that, a new poster has been released to mark the anime’s big comeback with new episodes this fall!
The anniversary celebration of Masashi Kishimoto’s “Naruto” franchise began with a special fan vote to determine the favorite character worldwide, leading to a new manga release focusing on Minato Namikaze.
The upcoming episodes will be flashbacks featuring the original core characters in their original looks before “Naruto Shippuden.”
While the storyline for these episodes has not been revealed yet, “Naruto” has released the first poster for the 20th anniversary anime special, featuring the original Team 7 lineup before their world turned chaotic.

In addition to the poster, Masashi Kishimoto dropped a teaser for the upcoming episodes. The teaser offers a glimpse into the characters’ early days, taking fans back to the beginnings of their favorite ninja heroes.
The anime is also set to bring nostalgia with FLOW as its theme song artist. The opening will be a 20th-anniversary version of their song “GO!!!,” while the ending will feature a cover of ORANGE RANGE’s “Viva Rock.”
Studio Pierrot has prepared four new episodes for the grand anniversary celebration. The episodes are confirmed to debut on September 3, 2023 in Japan.
Earlier this year, the milestone anime was announced, alongside the news of Part 2 in production for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” which temporarily paused the series.
