The OG Sang’gres are reunited!
After four years, the fans of the original “Encantadia” were able to see the show’s Sang’gres together again: Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, Karylle, and Diana Zubiri.
Sunshine, Iza, Karylle, and Diana had a short reunion during the Magpasikat performance of Karylle’s group on “It’s Showtime” last Tuesday, November 7.
The last time they were seen together was in the 2019 movie “Mystified,” which their production company, Sang’gre Inc., produced for iFlix.
After the performance, the Sang’gres posted their group photos taken after their performance.
Diana posted on her Instagram account, “AVISALA! So good to be back! #Family #showtime #sanggreinc.”
Prior to the reunion, Diana had been residing in Australia since the pandemic.
In the 2005 version, Sunshine, Iza, Karylle, and Diana respectively played the characters of Sang’gre Pirena, Amihan, Alena, and Danaya.
One netizen on X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @pauloMDtweets placed this photo side-by-side with one of their publicity photos for “Encantadia” in 2005.

Some netizens went nostalgic with the post that they expressed their admiration for the four stars, as well as looked back at the times they became fans of the show.

Currently, three of the Sang’gres are active on ABS-CBN: Iza, Karylle, and Sunshine. Diana’s last project was with GMA-7 in 2019 before she went on a hiatus and migrated to Australia.
“Encantadia” is set to make a comeback on TV via “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” a spin-off based on the 2016 remake.
The 2016 remake is headlined by Glaiza de Castro, Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez.
Meanwhile, Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda will serve as the new Sang’gres for the spin-off, portraying new characters.
