Korean stars Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol have officially broken up, ending their relationship six years after publicly acknowledging their romance. The two are known for their roles in the popular K-drama, “Reply 1988.”
On November 13, South Korean media outlet News1 reported the separation, noting that it followed “a long period of consideration.” Despite the breakup, the agencies of both actors emphasized that they would remain “colleagues who support each other.”
Confirming the news, Ryu Jun Yeol’s agency C-JeS Studios and Hyeri’s agency Creative Group ING issued statements. “It is true that they broke up,” the agencies concurred.

The pair initially shared the screen in the hit 2015 drama “Reply 1988,” portraying Kim Jun Hwan and Sung Deok Sun. After keeping their relationship private, they made it public in August 2017.
Ryu Jun Yeol, 37, has earned acclaim for his roles in projects like “The King,” “A Taxi Driver,” “Little Forest,” “Believer,” and “The Night Owl.”
Hyeri, 29, began her entertainment career as a member of the K-pop girl group Girl’s Day. Transitioning to acting, she starred in projects such as “Hyde Jekyll, Me,” “My Roommate is a Gumiho,” “Moonshine,” and “May I Help You?”
