Since the creation of its Facebook page in 2016 and Twitter account in 2017, “Jolegend Slaydangal” has always made hilarious content that reflects millennial and Gen Z humor. From manips, memes, to parodies, “Jolegend” knows how to make content that will get its thousands of followers laughing every time.
Jolina Magdangal, who’s also seen the viral posts on social media, said she’s glad that the younger generation appreciates her and her work. “Nagulat ako–’yung gulat na nandun sa positive side. Nakakatuwa naman na na-appreciate nila.”
“Natuwa nga ako na para silang mga nabuhayan ng mga dugo. Tapos, ‘yung mga iba kong nakikita, sabi ko, ‘Parang may mga millennial na rito, may Generation Z na rito,'” she said during a virtual press conference for her upcoming film “Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin!“
When Jolina was asked about what she thinks of the “Jolegend Slaydangal” page, she has nothing but kind words to say. “Never akong na-offend. Sobra akong natuwa sa kaniya,” she said.
She also praised the creativity of the people behind these social media pages. “‘Yung ‘Jolegend Slaydangal,’ isa siyang kabataan. [‘Yung] gumawa ng account na ‘yun, ang taba ng isip niya. Ang dami niyang naiisip na minsan katawa-tawa na pero pumapatok siya. Sobrang thankful ako sa kaniya,” she said.
“Magandang Buhay” hosts Jolina, Melai Cantiveros, and Karla Estrada are all part of the upcoming comedy movie “Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin!” Jolina’s song “Chuva Choo Choo,” which was also part of the soundtrack for the 1999 film “Hey Babe,” will be revived and used in the new movie. “‘Yung ‘Chuva Choo Choo,’ ito ‘yung naging theme song [ng movie]… Happy and thankful ako na napili ‘yung kanta,” Jolina said.
“Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin!” will be available for streaming on KTX.ph, iWantTFC, Sky PPV, Cignal PPV, and TFC IPTV starting May 28, 2021.
