Netizens are now calling for Brenda Mage’s eviction from the reality show.
PSA: getting drunk is never an excuse to suggest sexually harassing someone. This was the stern reminder that social media users expressed following the inappropriate question that Pinoy Big Brother contestant Brenda Mage asked his fellow housemate, Eian Rances, in a recent episode of the reality TV show.
In a now-viral video of the exchange captured by Tiktok user @jairusmartin08 from a Kumu livestream, the comedian is seen repeatedly asking Rances what the latter would do in a hypothetical situation where they both black out from drinking and he wakes up to Mage touching him.
“Paano kapag nag-inuman tayo tapos paggising mo, hawak ko na, lasing ka? Tuloy o tigil?” Mage asked Rances multiple times. Even though Mage didn’t delve any further, social media users surmised that he is talking about touching Rances’ private part.
The composed Rances can be seen scratching his head at the question while repelling Mage’s physical advances by slapping the latter’s hand. He also deflected Mage’s pushy question by saying: “Huwag kang ganu’n, masama ‘yun. Hindi lang sa akin. Kahit kanino, huwag mong gagawin ‘yun.”
“Anong tuloy o tigil? Una sa lahat, huwag mong gagawin na hahawakan mo na,” Rances later added.

Over at Twitter, the viral clip drew the ire of netizens who flagged Mage’s “predatory remarks” as inappropriate and called for the eviction of the same from the reality show. Twitter user @HottorneyGigo also said that Mage’s “demeanor and attitude in the PBB house” are “a major setback in the way [the LGBTQIA+] want to be perceived as a community.”
Another Twitter user brought back a similar scenario involving Banjo Dangalan, a previous contestant from the fourth season of Pinoy Big Brother, who got force-evicted in 2019 after making a series of rape jokes.
Both Mage and Rances are part of the celebrity edition of the reality TV show. Hailing from Cagayan de Oro, Mage’s biggest moment came after placing third in the Miss Q and A pageant of ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime. Meanwhile, Rances rose to fame as a host on GMA’s Walang Tulugan before becoming a Star Magic talent and one of Kumu’s top streamers.
